Case Study: Bridal to Maternity
RBA garments are designed to move with a woman through life, not retire after the wedding.
A Bahamas-based client returned to RBA two years after her wedding to share how her bridal robe had taken on new meaning: restyled for her maternity shoot, the same tulle and craftsmanship that carried her down the aisle now marked her pregnancy. "This is your Bahamas client! I used my bridal robe for my maternity pics," she wrote unprompted, simply wanting to share the moment. This is the premise of Bride-to-Bride Zone: garments built to move with a woman through her life stages, not retired after a single wear.
Design Thinking
Flexibility
No zips. No buttons. The garment was intentionally constructed without fixed closures so the fit can respond to changes in the body.
Adjustable Silhouette
A detachable belt allows the wearer to define or release the waist without altering the garment's core construction.
Preserved Drama
The half-bodice, voluminous tulle skirt and ruffled sleeves retain the glamour and visual identity of the original bridal robe.
Designed for Reuse
The same garment can transition from a wedding-day robe to maternity photography and potentially other life stages.
